ENT Hub Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 19, 2026
ENT Hub is a utility and reference app for healthcare professionals and trainees. It does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or provide patient-specific advice, and it does not replace clinical judgment, institutional protocols, pharmacist review, specialist consultation, or emergency care.
Data We Collect
ENT Hub may collect the following data to provide app functionality:
- Account email address.
- Display name, specialty, and institution if provided by the user.
- User-created content such as case logs, flashcards, patient instructions, Knowledge Base contributions, and announcements.
- Health-related information you choose to enter, such as clinical details in case logs and learning notes. This is treated as health data. You should not enter patient identifiers (see "Patient Information" below).
- Push notification token and device identifier needed to deliver notifications.
- Crash and performance data used to improve app reliability.
Service Providers
ENT Hub relies on the following third-party processors, and shares with each only the data needed for that function:
- Google Firebase (a Google service) for authentication, database, file storage, and hosting.
- Sentry for crash and performance diagnostics. We configure Sentry to exclude personally identifying user information.
- Expo push notification service for delivering notifications to your device.
No Tracking
ENT Hub does not track users across apps or websites and does not sell personal data.
Patient Information
Users should not enter patient identifiers or protected health information into ENT Hub. The app warns users not to enter patient names, medical record numbers, national IDs, phone numbers, dates of birth, identifiable images, or other identifying information in app content, support messages, screenshots, or contributions.
How Data Is Used
Data is used to provide app functionality, sync account content, deliver notifications, maintain security, and improve app reliability.
Account Deletion
Users can delete their account in the app. Account deletion removes user-owned app data where technically possible, then deletes the Firebase Authentication account. A recent sign-in may be required before deletion.
Data Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your private data is removed as described above. Contributions you submitted to shared libraries (such as approved knowledge-base notes or flashcards) may be retained with your identity removed. Diagnostic data is retained by our diagnostics provider for a limited period under its standard retention policy, and routine backups may persist for a short rolling window before being overwritten.
Data Security
ENT Hub uses Firebase services, encrypted device storage where appropriate, and HTTPS-based communication. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but reasonable safeguards are used.
Children
ENT Hub is intended for licensed healthcare professionals and trainees and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
