ENT Tools Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 27, 2026
ENT Tools is an educational and reference app for healthcare professionals. It is not a medical device and does not replace clinical judgment, institutional protocols, pharmacist review, or specialist consultation.
Data We Collect
ENT Tools may collect the following data to provide app functionality:
- Account email address.
- Display name, specialty, and institution if provided by the user.
- User-created content such as case logs, flashcards, patient instructions, and announcements.
- Push notification token and device identifier needed to deliver notifications.
- Crash and performance data used to improve app reliability.
No Tracking
ENT Tools does not track users across apps or websites and does not sell personal data.
Patient Information
Users should not enter patient identifiers or protected health information into ENT Tools. The app warns users not to enter patient names, medical record numbers, national IDs, phone numbers, dates of birth, or other identifying information.
How Data Is Used
Data is used to provide app functionality, sync account content, deliver notifications, maintain security, and improve app reliability.
Account Deletion
Users can delete their account in the app. Account deletion removes user-owned app data where technically possible, then deletes the Firebase Authentication account. A recent sign-in may be required before deletion.
Data Security
ENT Tools uses Firebase services, encrypted device storage where appropriate, and HTTPS-based communication. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but reasonable safeguards are used.
